Black Male Models

Ok Guys, i really just had to repost this because these men are finnee! Hello!
The Original source is from CocoandCreme.com  of course!
But i think the article is quite interesting, why aren't there more of these gorgeous black male models, i guess the answer to that will be the same as why there aren't more beautiful black female models in the fashion industry.
I'll tell you what the answer ISN'T- that there is a 'shortage' of them lol

JULY 4, 2011 FASHION
Spring 2012 Menswear Fashion Shows are underway in Milan and Paris. And as usual, the runways are lacking in color when it comes to racial diversity. There is still a disproportionate amount of black models to white, and the issue seems to exacerbate each season. In a show of 15+ models, there are only about 1-2 models of color if any at all. Where are the black male models?
Unfortunately, the industry seems to be slower to embrace black male models relative to black female models and of course, non-black male models. The good news is we are seeing some consistency with black male models working though it’s many of the same faces.
Check out the following black models that strutted down the runways of Milan and Paris this Fashion Week:

1. Rob Evans

Mostly recognized for his Calvin Klein commercial with Cassie, Rob Evans is a model on the rise. A United Kingdom native, Rob Evans was featured in Givenchy’s Fall 2011 campaign. He walked the Spring 2012 runway shows of Givenchy (above) and Jean Paul Gautier.

2. Corey Baptiste

Since being signed to VNY models in 2010, this 20 year-old Brooklyn native has modeled for DKNY, Michael Kors and the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan. Corey was featured in the Spring 2012 shows of several designers including Hermes (above), John Galliano and Giorgio Armani.

3. Dominique Hollington

This Bronx native was discovered in Harlem while shopping and almost immediately signed to Red Models Agency. Since he made his debut in the Givenchy show in Paris, he’s been walking in runways shows across the globe including Jeremy Scott and DKNY. He walked in the Spring 2012 shows for Givenchy and Mugler Mens (above).

4. Sacha M’baye

This 21 year-old French Native is a newcomer to the modeling world. After booking his first modeling gig with Calvin Klein, he has gone on to be one of the faces of Espirit and most recently, Burberry. He walked in the Spring 2012 shows for Ports 1961 (above) and Dsquared2.

5. Henry Watkins

We first saw Henry on the CENTRIC TV show “MODEL CITY.” Since being signed to Red Models Agency, Henry has been steadily working, walking in shows such as Perry Ellis. He has also booked campaigns for American Eagle and United Colors of Benetton. He walked in the Spring 2012 shows for Roland Mouret and Versace (above).

6. Armando Cabral

This Portuguese model has been working since 2001. Armando has walked the runways of Dior Homme, Louis Vuitton and Dries Van Noten. He’s been featured in V magazine and The New York Times T Style Magazine. He walked in the Spring 2012 Kenzo show (above).

7. David Agbodji

This 24 year-old was born in Paris, France and has been a working model since 2008. In 2010, David became the face of Calvin Klein. He also has appeared in French Vogue, V Magazine and V Man Magazine. He’s walked in shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger. He was quite busy this Fashion Week walking in several Spring 2012 shows including Bottega Veneta, Vivienne Westwood (above) and Viktor and Rolf.

8. Nate Gill

Originally from San Francisco, California, this 22 year-old model has been working since 2008. From ad campaigns with Ralph Lauren Rugby to editorial spreads for GQ STYLE and Four Seasons Magazine, Nate continues to be a face to watch. He walked in the Spring 2012 shows for Vivienne Westwood and Dirk Bikkembergs.

9. Isaac Sullivan

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Isaac is a newcomer to the modeling world. In 2009, he was the fresh face of Sean John. This Fashion Week, Isaac walked in the shows for Givenchy, Giorgio Armani (above) and Emporio Armani.

Why is the industry slower to embrace black male models? Will the number of black male models during Mens Fashion Week ever see an increase?
